The Advantages and Disadvantages of Having a Micro Wedding

Micro Weddings are slowly taking over the industry and we are letting you know why!

Micro weddings have become increasingly popular in recent years, particularly during and after the pandemic. With guest lists typically ranging from 10 to 50 people, these intimate ceremonies provide a more personal, budget-friendly alternative to traditional large weddings. But like everything, they come with their own set of pros and cons.

One major advantage of a micro wedding is the ability to focus on what truly matters—your closest family and friends. With fewer guests, you can have more quality time with each person and create a more personal experience. Micro weddings also tend to be more budget-conscious. You can splurge on details that matter, like high-quality photography, a unique venue, a professional officiant (like myself lol), or gourmet catering, without breaking the bank.

However, the downside of a micro wedding is the inevitable guest list dilemma. With a small number of attendees, you’ll likely have to make tough decisions about who to invite. Also, for couples who envision a large, lively celebration, a micro wedding may feel too quiet or less exciting than a big bash.

In the end, it all depends on what kind of experience you want to create. If intimacy, quality, and budget control are important to you, a micro wedding could be the perfect choice!
